The Apotek Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the room was lovely! It was in a great location near two bus stops that tour buses pick up from. It was also near so many great restaurants and right across the street from a bunch of cute shops. Highly recommend this hotel for staying in the city!

Superb location in the old town. Friendly staff. Incredible restaurant with lovely cocktails. The cranberry bread is to die for! Well appointed rooms with parquet flooring and lovely features. Couldn't have asked for more.

Nice hotel! Music in bar beside hotel very loud and kept us awake most nights. Other than that it’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was really nice and food was tasty. Staff very accommodating and helpful to all of our questions and queries.

The place was beautiful but the bed we had was the worst bed I've ever slept in. And the breakfast was not worth the money at all. The dinners were awsome but not the breakfast. We only ate there once that was enought. And also when your doing tours your breakfast open up to late

Everyone needs to know that this hotel does not cancel or refund reservations even if you request well in advance. Given everything happening with the earthquakes and possible volcanic eruption we decided that it was best not to go. All planned activities and major sites we scheduled like the Blue Lagoon are closed and were happy to refund us our money. The only place that stood their ground was this hotel. The company that I made the reservation through was happy to issue a refund they just needed the ok from the hotel. another reviewer said a family member passed away and the hotel also did not want to refund their money. These hotel absolutely has no shame.....

Great hotel in a great location, the breakfast is lovely and the food in general is delicious, was the best lamb I’ve had in a long time.||No complaints with the standard of the room either, can’t wait to return.

Great hotel in the center of reykjavik, the location is great for walking everywhere.|very helpful staff the room very comfortable, we have breakfest and dinner in the restaurat and both were very good, overall very recommended and will stay here in mi next visit to reykjavik
